Previously, almost 500 Lion's DD buses were used in Berlin, but as BVG explains, it has been decided to purchase only 200 of these vehicles so far due to the need to withdraw the currently used vehicles, which have already covered over 1.5 million kilometers, and the lack of an electric double-decker bus. The capital of Germany has assumed that only zero-emission buses will be running on its streets by 2030, which is why a delicate approach to purchasing buses with a standard drive is now necessary.
