The foreign destinations concern places and monasteries connected with the Greek Orthodox element and are important religious monuments. The purpose of this particular series is to highlight the ecclesiastical and monastic treasure, which is an integral part of the cultural life of our country. More specifically, viewers will be given the opportunity to learn historical facts about each monastery, as well as the spiritual wealth preserved in the libraries or museums of the holy monasteries. Every form of ecclesiastical art will also be highlighted: such as iconography, wood carving, mosaics, church building. Also, to the extent possible, aspects of the daily life of the monks will be presented. The holy pilgrimages that the new documentary series "Bright Paths" will encounter on this journey are indicative: - I.M. Saint Luke in Boeotia. – I.M. Varlaam and St. Nikolaou Rests in Meteora. – I.M. St. Dionysios on Olympus. – I.M. St. John the Evangelist in Patmos – I.M. Archangel Michael Panormitou in Symi – I.M. Brigadier General Mandamados of Mytilene and I.M. Limonos – Nea Moni Chios – I.M. of Evangelistria in Tinos and others The Holy Monastery of Agios Dionysios in Olympus is a priceless spiritual and historical treasure. It bears witness to more than four hundred years of operation. Her continuous spiritual and national contribution, recognized her in the consciousness of the people of Pieria and helped so that her radiation went beyond the Greek borders.
