Her books, written with an alert and incisive pen, precisely reveal crucial historical contexts, the destinies of political, cultural and military personalities who played a major role in the events of the last 100 years. A fairly recent appearance, ''The Last Year of Elena Ceauşescu'', was the motivation for the invitation addressed to Lavinia Betea to meet in the magical garden at Librăiriile Cărtureşti, together with Daniela Zeca Buzura.
