Both happened in September 1997 and both are related to the shooting of the boss of the Košice underworld, Róbert Holub. It was Alojz Kromka who was driving a motorcycle with Jozef Roháč, alias Potkan, who at the beginning of the great murders tried to shoot the Košice boss in the KVP housing estate in Košice. However, Potkan's gun jammed at a crucial moment and Róbert Holub recognized the driver of the motorcycle on which the murderers were sitting, Alojz Kromka.
