About :

I have been given 2 Black Chilli knives to sharpen. These knives are made under the Fairtrade seal in Vietnam from old truck leaf springs and gang saw steel. As no decent cutting edge had been created, the CBN 80 had to be used first. Creating a 15° cutting edge took 4 passes on each side. After that, CBN 160-400 and 1000 were ground one after the other, each with 2 passes on each side. Then something for the optics with the 6µm diamond wheel. Then over stroking leather 3µm, 1µ and 0.25µm. As I was still not satisfied with the result, the hanging leather had to be used. This is increasingly becoming the secret weapon for the final pull. The result is impressive. Kitchen paper is cut.
