Before the last war, many villages in the Dalmatian hinterland were vibrant centers of life and progress. The village of Bjelina once had a post office, a health clinic, three grocery stores, as well as a National Library that was open until August 1995. Today, a small number of locals do not even have the basic conditions for a dignified life. Through the "Baština Bjelina" Association, they decided to do everything themselves to promote the material and cultural heritage of this place, but also to ensure the most basic conditions for staying here.
