Bake an apple pie with Koopmans Self-Rising Flour, a traditional recipe with an old Dutch flavour. Koopmans Self-Rising Flour is ideal for various baking recipes, such as cookies, cakes, pies and pancakes. In the video we show you how to make a delicious apple pie with this product. Raising agents have been added to Bakkers Self-Rising Flour, which ensures a nice, airy end result. For an apple pie you need: 300 g Koopmans Self-Rising Flour (note, not the entire pack), 200 g butter, 160 g brown sugar, pinch of salt, 1 egg, 1 kilo apples, 50 g sugar, 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon, 75 g raisins, 2 tbsp custard or breadcrumbs. Let the raisins soak in lukewarm water for fifteen minutes. Then pat them dry. Then peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Then preheat the oven. Then you can start making the apple pie dough. Stir the butter soft in a mixing bowl and add the brown sugar. Sift the Self-Raising Flour over the bowl, add a pinch of salt and two-thirds of the beaten egg. Knead into a nice apple pie dough. Fill the tin two-thirds full with the dough. Mix the soaked raisins, cinnamon and sugar through the apple filling. Divide the apple pie filling over the dough. Make strips from the reserved dough for on top of the apple pie. Brush them with the last bit of egg before baking. Bake the apple pie for about 75 minutes until done and golden brown.
