The only granite quarry whose traces of ancient exploitation are still visible today. The historic site of Locuon is a remarkable heritage site. The exploitation of the quarry began at the beginning of our era. The blocks were used in the construction of Vorgium (current town of Carhaix) and traces of tools remain on the majority of the working faces. In the hollow left by the quarry, there is the Notre-Dame-de-la-Fosse Chapel, which is accessed by a majestic granite staircase. It was built at the foot of the working face.
