Cars 2 is a movie that is way too entertaining for how bad it is. I will never understand the need the creators had to change the Cars plot to a spy one and yet I can tell you that in some strange way it worked. But it is something that cannot be replicated because the crazy factor has already been lost. And Cars is better when it focuses on racing and characters than crazy plots. The movie is about a billionaire creating an eco-friendly fuel called Alinol, better for the environment and just as good for cars, so he creates a race with the best racers in the world all using this new fuel to show its potential. The problem is that the racers start to explode mid-race, tarnishing the reputation of the eco-friendly fuel. The x2 problem is that Alinol is not the bad guy but a group of cars owned by oil companies trying to make people not abandon oil by getting into the races and blowing up the racers. Mater and friends stop these thugs. In this video I explain why this plot works and at the same time why it doesn't work and Cars 2 IN GENERAL.
