Automob makes its debut on the B3 under the ticker AMOB3, emerging from the spin-off of Vamos’ dealership business, which now focuses on truck and equipment rental. With this move, the Simpar Group now has four companies listed on the Stock Exchange, including JSL (JSLG3), Movida (MOVI3), Vamos (VAMO3), and its own holding company (SIMH3). Despite being new to the stock market, Automob has a long history, with a history that dates back to the 1990s. With 188 stores throughout Brazil and a portfolio of 35 brands, Automob is positioned as the largest group of vehicle dealerships in the country and the first in its segment to be listed on the B3. Automob’s CEO, Antonio Barreto, highlights that the company will become a “natural consolidator” in a fragmented market, with growth driven by both acquisitions and organic sales. With net revenue of over R$12 billion and EBITDA of R$439 million, the company plans to expand its business, including the pre-owned segment and aggregated products, such as consortiums and insurance. The launch takes place in a challenging economic scenario, with high inflation and interest rates, but Barreto believes that banks' appetite for credit remains strong, which is crucial for Automob's success. ------------- Keep track of your expenses with this free spreadsheet from InfoMoney.
