The irrigation system in the Marcoser Farm consists of: • submersible pump with pressure switch, • sensor for clogging with sand/increased pressure, • sensor for voltage variations and for detecting lack of water. • tanks for fertilization • programmer • Master solenoid valve that practically closes and opens the water supply from the well • solenoid valves for each irrigation area within the farm • the cables connecting the solenoid valves and the programmer • the main water supply column • installations tube or strip irrigation and the related accessories • optionally, a rain sensor can also be installed Of all the components listed above, the most important is the programmer because with its help we can coordinate the entire irrigation system from one place, automatically, semi-automatic or manual. ►Drip irrigation system calculator: https://bit.ly/3kZJEZx The main functions of this programmer are the following: • we can set the irrigation time for all 8 irrigation zones. • the time at which to automatically start the irrigation system in a certain greenhouse. • the duration of irrigation depending on the needs of the crops and the climatic conditions. • we can set the duration of an irrigation cycle in a certain greenhouse or we can set the days of the week when we want to irrigate. In our case, the programmer allows us to set 3 different irrigation programs during a day. We can irrigate the first cycle in the early morning, the second irrigation cycle at noon and the third cycle in the afternoon. The programmer automatically closes and opens the irrigation system and controls the irrigation on the 8 irrigation zones according to the settings made by you. At the same time, dehydration or excessive watering of the crops on the farm and implicitly production losses are avoided. Considering that the entire irrigation system is quite simplistic, fertilization will not be done automatically. The programmers, depending on the area where they are mounted, are of two types: indoor or outdoor. Although we have this special fertilization room on our farm, we opted for an outdoor panel that is much safer and much more resistant in conditions of increased humidity.
