Architecture, which began with the need for shelter for human beings, physically finds its counterpart in all stages of life today, from education to health, from economy to trade. It is impossible to keep this physical process separate from social, cultural, economic and environmental parameters. In the “Architecture and Life” talk presented by Dr. Olcay Aydemir, different dimensions of architecture, especially in Istanbul, a historical city, are discussed.
