I am literally in love with simple and homemade desserts and when you talk to me about apple pie there is no desire that holds back. It probably originated in the United Kingdom. In the nobility it was softer, taller and sugarier, the common people instead mixed oat flour, water and apples and created a little cake to please themselves. However, it is in America, in New England, where it takes hold and spreads throughout the country until it even becomes the symbol of the new continent. We do not know well when it was invented, but certainly before the invention of the refrigerator, in fact it was obvious to cook vegetables and fruit even in doughs that were then baked to prevent the vegetables from going bad.
