Until Friday (20), the Municipal Department of Education, through the Early Childhood Education Division (DIEI) of the Pedagogical Coordination (COPED), is promoting the IX Pedagogical Journey: unveiling practices and charting paths for anti-racist education in all Early Childhood Education units. This year's theme is the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Law 10.639, which included the mandatory theme “Afro-Brazilian History and Culture” in the curriculum. The action aims to provide formative experiences, share knowledge and expand knowledge about anti-racist practices among Early Childhood Education educators. The journey includes activities such as reporting practices, discussion circles, research communication, workshops; among others, we intend to ensure protagonism in cultural and artistic moments, such as poetry, music, visual arts, dance, among others. The territories are organized into formative hubs; in cultural facilities such as museums, theaters, libraries; Educational Units; CEUs; spaces provided through partnerships such as university auditoriums, clubs, among others. The Early Childhood Education Division considers it essential that the 9th Pedagogical Journey be conceived by everyone who works in the Units, DREs and SME, since the promotion of anti-racist practices, which take place from January to January, is a principle of the City Curriculum, after all, the educational institution can contribute to mitigating the impacts of racism in the daily lives of babies, children, families and guardians. https://educacao.sme.prefeitura.sp.go...
