⏩ First inform yourself, then supplement: Take a look at my guide https://bit.ly/RatgeberHowTo ✅ ❎ 100% independent ❎ 100% study-based ❎ 100% medically correct #lack of sleep #sleep #sleepdisorders Do you sleep badly & too little? My tip: Change that, starting today, immediately. Because lack of sleep is an absolute health killer, keywords are concentration problems, cancer risk, weak immune system, high blood pressure and also bad moods and even depression. The fact that we spend around 1/3 of our lives sleeping shows how important sleep is for us. Many necessary regeneration and processing processes take place at night. Unfortunately, sleep disorders are one of the most common health problems in Germany and affect at least 10% of the population. The resulting lack of sleep puts the body in a state of constant stress, which, among other things, throws our cardiovascular system, our hormone balance, our cancer risk and our psyche out of balance. Why do we need sleep? Sufficient sleep is particularly important for our brain. During the day, it takes in countless sensory impressions and information that are initially only temporarily stored during the day. Only at night, when the brain has a break from this flood of information, can it sort the collected impressions and store important information in long-term memory. And sleep is also essential for the rest of the body. While we are peacefully daydreaming, 1) the organs and muscles have the opportunity to regenerate, and 2) wound healing, 3) the immune system and 4) detoxification are stimulated. And how much sleep is necessary for the body and mind to regenerate? As banal as that sounds, everyone needs enough sleep to feel well-rested. Whether that is after 5 or 9 hours is very individual. The average sleep duration in Central Europe is around 7 hours per night. But if you get out of bed full of energy after just 6 hours, that's fine too. The need for sleep also changes with age. For development and growth, babies need to sleep up to 18 hours a day. However, with increasing age, from around the age of 65, the amount of sleep they get at night decreases. This is partly due to changes in sleeping habits, e.g. regular naps during the day. But it is also due to the increase in sleep disorders caused by age-related illnesses, for example. Incidentally, the quality of sleep is at least as important as the amount of sleep. After a shallow 8-hour sleep, you can feel just as exhausted as you would after too little sleep. 5 consequences of lack of sleep The most immediate consequence of lack of sleep is, of course, extreme tiredness - we all know that. But if lack of sleep becomes chronic, there are other effects that limit the quality of life of those affected, as everyday activities become difficult and health also suffers.
