For the 2nd Edition of World Environment Day at IFG Anápolis Campus, the CirculAnápolis Extension Project prepared the re-edition of three works presented for the 4th edition of the project, developed between November 2020 and April 2021, by extension students Lucas Vilaça, Amanda Matos and João Pedro Balduíno, from the Social Sciences course, and coordinated by professor Elza Gabriela. These works were produced by artists from Anápolis from the Arts and Popular Culture program selected for this last edition of the project and will be re-exhibited in the event's program because the theme of their works is directly related to the preservation of the environment, the Cerrado and sustainability. Maria Batista @mbatistaartesanato has been an artisan from Anápolis for 22 years, was a member of the Municipal Culture Council @cmcanapolis, and works with Cerrado seeds in her creations. Leaves, bark, fruits, branches and seeds are transformed into crafts, arrangements, topiaries and keychains by the hands of Dona Maria. In the video produced by the project team, Maria Batista presents a little of the trajectory of her work, from the collection of raw materials, preparation, to the assembly of the pieces that she sells at street markets in the city.
