Elongated drum springs. A supposedly very common phenomenon. A lot of things are blamed on elongated springs. And if you ask the customer service departments, they absolutely have to be replaced. (Often the manufacturer's instructions) But what is it like in reality? How much do springs stretch compared to new springs? The surprising thing is that in most cases it is only a few millimeters. And as in this example, this minimal difference is completely irrelevant. Despite this, customer service departments/experts commissioned by the manufacturer will continue to say: It has to be replaced. And anyone who does something else is a bungler. In my opinion: It is pointless to replace parts that are not worn out, it is botched work and a rip-off.
