We took a look at the circular path around the Eibsee - on a summer weekend. The Eibsee below the Zugspitze is considered one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Bavarian Alps (near Grainau, 9 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and is also called the Bavarian Caribbean. Our personal conclusion: Like Neuschwanstein Castle - only without the castle. All in all, an interesting and easy hike in front of a beautiful mountain backdrop. However, anyone expecting a romantic lakeside path in secluded nature will be disappointed (at least in summer) - there are many interesting impressions of civilization to experience ???? The very beautiful lake with clear, green-colored water lies in front of it in front of the great backdrop of the Zugspitze. The circuit on the lakeside path is 8 km short and runs mostly on wide, forest-path-like footpaths. If you want to extend the tour a little, you can start from Grainau, for example, where there are paid and occasionally free parking spaces.
