Ahmed bin Hassoun bin Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Wa'ili Al-Laithi Al-Kanani (September 3, 1928 - July 14, 2003). He completed his post-doctoral research to obtain a professorship to study economics, obtaining a higher diploma from the Institute of Arab Studies and Research affiliated with the League of Arab States in 1975 AD. As for the Islamic seminary studies, he studied the sciences of the Qur’an and memorized its verses at the hands of the kuttabs by his teacher Sheikh Ali Qaftan in Sheikh Ali Nawaya Mosque on the slopes of Mount Al-Tamma in Najaf.
