In this video, Franz Hollweck takes you to an eel fishing spot on the Danube and explains how to easily and successfully fish for eels in and on the stone pack. If you want to go after eels on the stone pack, you should familiarize yourself with the fishing spot in daylight, firstly to find out how far the pack runs into the river in order to reduce the chances of getting stuck when fishing for eels on the stone pack, but also to develop a feel for the stone pack and to find safe footing paths on the piled-up stones. Earthworms have also proven to be a good bait for eel fishing in the Danube.
