It took us two months to get there from Okinawa, and we were constantly amazed by the hungry spirit of our ancestors who pioneered the jungle from scratch. Reading various articles and blogs where I spoke to first-generation Okinawans, I think many people were deceived by the Ryukyu government (America?) and came here. Especially the first-generation Okinawans who came on the first two ships. When they arrived, they probably thought, "It's just a messy jungle with tigers wandering around!". But they continued to develop the land, and by the time of the third generation, they were already considered "rich Asians who succeeded in agriculture". It's amazing that they weren't "successful" in agriculture, but rather "desperately developing" as immigrants. In America and other places, they say that the hungry spirit of people who immigrated after going through tough experiences is amazing. Many immigrants have started successful restaurants or companies. When you follow the history of these immigrants' development, it makes you think that people can do anything when they are in a difficult situation.
