The holiday trips of investors from Warsaw to a small village by a lake in Warmia resulted in the purchase of a plot of land and the construction of their second home there. The atmosphere of this town enchanted them so much that the new house resembles those from distant times built here from stone, brick and wood. The house with an area of approximately 150 square meters is built on a slope, has 2 storeys - ground floor and residential attic. It is set on a foundation made of split stone. Terraces have been placed on the ground floor and first floor. They offer a view with a wide perspective of the village and the lake located nearby. The part of the elevation that protrudes to the front is called a projection. The house was designed by Tomasz Lella, who has specialised in architecture referring to the history of the Warmia and Mazury region for years. https://pantel.olsztyn.pl Traditional materials such as split stone, brick and wood were used for its construction, but also modern ones that meet currently applicable standards. Concrete tile imitating brick where greater material strength is needed, e.g. on stairs, comes from Elkamino Dom https://elkaminodom.pl The split stone in this case was obtained from the foundations of an old house. The brick used comes from a family brickyard in Kraśnik. Its only distributor is the JARO Building Materials Wholesaler in Stawiguda. http://hurtowniajaro.pl The roof was made of the most classic Dutch roof tile from Wienerberger. https://www.wienerberger.pl An air-to-water heat pump was used to heat the building. Underfloor heating was installed on both floors. The owners praise the possibility of controlling this system from a long distance.
