We present a new analysis of water hammer in an irrigation pipeline that faces serious problems of underpressure and overpressure. In this context, we use two devices, each designed for a specific situation. The first, called TAEB (Bidirectional Intake and Expulsion Tube), is applied to reduce the effects of underpressure. The second, the hydraulic damper (VR-Bypass), is used to deal with overpressure. Both devices are economically viable and require simple maintenance. Furthermore, the effectiveness of both equipment in the final result is remarkable.
