Correction: the Dacia Duster does have blind spot detection, what it does not have are the rear disc brakes that the Vitara does have. We present a new 4x4 off-road comparative test at the limit with the Dacia Duster dCi 4x4 Prestige manual facing the new Suzuki Vitara. On the one hand we have the Suzuki Vitara, a car that started out as a pure off-roader with ingredients such as the reduction gear, several generations ago, and which today has become a compact SUV whose off-road capabilities are yet to be proven. For its part, the Dacia Duster has a lower price than the Suzuki Vitara even in its top-of-the-range diesel version with all-wheel drive, the 1.5 dCi 4x4 in Prestige finish, also offering a spacious interior with a good trunk that at first glance seems more prepared to go off-road. In this test we are going to pit Vitara and Duster against obstacles of increasing difficulty until we find a winner, focusing on their behaviour off the asphalt but without forgetting their performance on the road and a good look at the interiors and boot. This comparison has been filmed on the Autorrescate 4x4 off-road circuit in Los Ángeles de San Rafael, which has different areas of varying difficulty and allows us to experiment with the cars in a totally safe and environmentally friendly way and in compliance with the legislation. Both cars are standard, with tyres and pressures provided by the manufacturer, so this would be the car that would leave the dealership if you bought either of them.
