Before 'therefore' and 'therefore' a comma is used or 'and' is used: “I'm a little hungry and therefore/so I eat a piece of bread” Since: it introduces a cause and is used at the beginning of the sentence. “Since it's cold, I turned on the heating” Because: it can introduce a cause and is used to join two sentences or two parts of a sentence. “I turned on the heating because it's cold” Since: it introduces a cause and can be used either at the beginning or in the middle of the sentence. “Since it's cold, I turned on the heating”, “I turned on the heating because it's cold” That is: it introduces the explanation of what was said immediately before. It can explain a word or an entire sentence. “I am a vegetarian, that is, I do not eat meat or fish” At the end: introduces the moment or the final result of an action. “I tried on many dresses and in the end I chose the blue one” Don't confuse 'at the end' with 'finally'!
