In May/June 1916 the Alpini of the Aosta Battalion were engaged on Mount Zugna south of Rovereto, to contain and stop the Austrian Strafexpedition, later in September the unit was employed to conquer the Cosmagnon plateau on Mount Pasubio. Last May and in September, we retraced those war itineraries with researchers, local historians and a unit of the Alpine Training Center of Aosta.
