Crowds follow him and he continues to perform miracles throughout Galilee. In chapter 4, Jesus begins to teach in parables, which are illustrative stories with a deeper spiritual meaning. He talks about the sower, the lamp under the bushel, the mustard seed and the seed that grows by itself. The central message of Jesus' ministry is repentance and salvation through faith in God.
