Adding yeast fungi to feed is much cheaper and more profitable than adding other additives, such as bone or fish meal, synthetic vitamins, cake and meals. Therefore, feed is enriched with enzymes and B vitamins. Yeast is especially useful if the birds are kept in a cage and for fattening young animals.
