Digital mixing consoles have standardized a new way of sending instrument channels to stage monitors. Instead of using the potentiometers or rotary knobs typical of analogue consoles, digital consoles allow you to use the console's own faders to send to the monitors, which is faster and more intuitive. This is known as the SENDS ON FADER technique. Most digital consoles offer two ways of working with SENDS ON FADER: 1 - Selecting a CHANNEL. In this technique, the faders become the send level of that channel to the different monitor buses. 2 - Selecting a MIX BUS or AUXILIARY. In this technique, the faders become the send level of each instrument to that same MIX BUS or AUXILIARY.
