This week, Paul Buitink speaks with Wybren van Haga, entrepreneur and founder of BVNL, about Dutch politics, economy and investing. Wybren believes that there are too few competent people active in the House of Representatives. He advocates for more entrepreneurs in politics, as we now see in America with Trump and Musk. He discusses the problems he sees in areas such as migration, the housing market and an overly large government. According to Wybren, the government should be a lot smaller and the freedom of the individual should be central. He says that we should fire 50 percent of all civil servants. Wybren is not positive about the performance of the PVV and discusses the fragmentation on the right with Paul. Wybren also looks back on the corona period. He is convinced that, as soon as the truth about this period comes to light, people will have to answer to the court. He calls those who did not adhere to all corona measures heroes and believes that those who wanted to enforce these measures are accountable. Wybren believes that we should stop supplying arms to Ukraine. He hopes that the war will end as soon as possible and is critical of Mark Rutte's role. They also discuss the conflict in Israel. Wybren believes that Jews should have their own state, but is not blind to the Palestinian side of the conflict. He wants us to focus on peace here too. Wybren is in favor of a Nexit. He wants to get rid of all the bureaucratic rules and thinks that we will have to cancel international treaties and leave the European Union. He also thinks that we should be less angry with people who are successful and that inheritance tax should be abolished.
