The inn is world famous, its address is in every Munich guide. Traditions are a priority here at Platzl 9 in the old town of the Isar metropolis - and beer mugs are not only lifted during Oktoberfest. The brass band plays live every day, over 100 regulars meet regularly, and evening after evening folklore groups in the hall introduce tourists from all over the world to Bavarian customs. Founded in 1589, the world's most famous inn serves traditional Bavarian food to 3,500 seats and, of course, plenty of drinks. 185 employees look after the well-being of up to 30,000 guests a day, both in front of and behind the scenes. And they are particularly busy right now: During the Oktoberfest, the traditional inn is in a state of emergency. High Noon in the Hofbräuhaus: The Focus TV report looked over the shoulders of the makers of the Munich landmark in 2007 and accompanied the landlord, waitress, butcher and chef for a day.
