On the way he discovers the rich history of these lands, linked to the heritage of the Szeklers and Saxons from Transylvania, who left traditions, customs, sayings and specific recipes in these areas of the country. We consider these things to be part of a valuable cultural heritage that deserves to be protected, known and understood. On his journey, Alex met many hikers: some Americans, some French, some Germans, which shows that Via Transilvanica plays the role of a country ambassador and manages to talk about this heritage in an authentic, honest way.
