A cheerful meeting takes place between Gul and Willem. Gul tells her that she is Turkish and her gifts are adapted to that. Her name means rose and Willem can call her that too. Then he himself is a tulip, he jokes. Willem tells her that he is hard of hearing and has an aid for that. Fortunately he can hear her well and so he immediately hears his first compliment from Gul! They can laugh a lot together right away and that is a good thing, because a life without humor is just 'shit' according to Willem. Willem likes Dutch food! He makes the shopping list, but Gul notices that the dessert is missing. 'You are my dessert, aren't you?' Willem flirts. Gul shows her tattoos. She proudly talks about her personal tattoos, but Willem cannot appreciate them at all... Gul thinks it is very important to have self-confidence. Willem is full of self-confidence and that is how it should be, he thinks. Otherwise life has no meaning. Gul does not entirely agree with that... What they do agree on is the importance of humor. Willem thrives on humor and for Gul it is also a priority. When she explains to him how that works for her, Willem is impressed. As if he wasn't already! Willem is behind the stove and Gul asks if he can cook foreign food, even though he doesn't like it. He can make shawarma! But whether Gul is impressed by that... Gul doesn't quickly go for an intimate atmosphere on a date. That happens when she really likes someone. Willem thinks differently about that. If there is a reason to do something with a lady out of lust, he doesn't shy away from it. The scratch card determines that they will do Gul's activity. It has to do with Christmas, but Willem hasn't liked this holiday for 30 years! Fortunately, he joins in and puts on a Christmas sweater. Outside, they drink hot chocolate milk and set off fireworks. Willem performs for Gul. The Greek music starts and the feet hit the floor. He dances and swings away and can't stop! Even though he doesn't like Christmas, the two still make a Christmas wreath.
