#DNA #geneticcode Instagram: / dna_a_colazione What is the genetic code? DNA is a code (the genetic code, in fact!) and as such it must be decoded. This video is intended to be a glimpse into the nature of this code, or rather the sequence of the 4 nitrogenous bases that, among other things, make up DNA. We have assigned each of these 4 bases (adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine) a letter which, with a lot of imagination, is the first letter of the name of each base: A, T, C, G. This system of letters allows us to write the sequence of nitrogenous bases in a simple way. In this coded language, each gene codes for a protein (well, more or less, there are also non-coding genes). And the decoding system is based on triplets (codons): each triplet (or codon) corresponds to an amino acid, even if there are 64 triplets and only 20 amino acids. The digression on a possible alien nucleic acid came to me spontaneously, it wasn't on the agenda, I hope it's not too confusing (I've always been fascinated by the possibility of alien life). 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 ????INSTAGRAM: / dna_a_colazione ☕ If you like my work and want to support me you can buy me a coffee ☕ →♥ https://ko-fi.com/dna_a_colazione 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 EQUIPMENT ???? ???? camera: my phone ???? microphone: https://amzn.to/3prz1OA ???? “easel”: https://amzn.to/3a4I7KD ???? easel support: 3 university books that allow me to keep it at the right height ???? lights: the Yeelight window https://amzn.to/2NCYVRk (it is not a professional light for making videos but I can adjust the intensity and temperature.
