On May 24, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a clear order: Israel must immediately stop its ground invasion in Rafah. This decision sought to prevent a possible genocide in the region, a central concern in the case being analyzed by the Court. However, the Israeli army did not comply with the order and continued with its operations that began on May 7.
