Why do French and American companies want to demolish an Azerbaijani mosque? A documentary by CBC TV channel tells about the Azerbaijani historical and cultural heritage in Yerevan, which the Armenian authorities are trying to consign to oblivion. The film crew visited the Tepebashi mosque, the house of Panah Khan's son, on the site of the demolished Sardar mosque. Filming was also conducted at the Blue Mosque and the Emir Saad Mausoleum. It turned out that most of the monuments reflecting the heritage of Azerbaijanis in Yerevan have been destroyed. The surviving ones are positioned as Persian or Turkmen. In interviews, Yerevan residents tried to avoid the topic of the former Azerbaijani residents of the city. The authors of the film call for preserving the memory of the historical heritage of Azerbaijanis in the capital of Armenia.
