Why is Japan so stressful? Thank you, FIREWORK Web Design. Today's clip is a follow-up episode from Hikikomori that we talked about last time. We ended by saying that Japanese society actually plays a part in making people stressed and/or isolate themselves from society, but we didn't elaborate on why. The withdrawal state that millions of Japanese people are facing: I confess that I didn't know where to start, where to end, or what main points to talk about. I threw all my thoughts into Chat gpt and let the students process it into a coherent story. On the topic of why Japanese society makes people stressed and causes them to withdraw from society and/or has other mental health effects on people in society, the first thing that came to mind was "making oneself valuable (useful)". Because many times, we have observed that stress in Japan comes from each individual's inability to do what is set or set by society, or they themselves think that society expects them to do so. I feel that Japanese people are always looking for answers to why we are born: to find a purpose and to do something useful so that their birth is not in vain... But do we feel that this might be a factor that makes people feel pressured if we don't want to do it? Or can't do what society needs. However, this is what we have experienced and it is not something that experts have analyzed. It's just a vibe that we received while living in Japan. It is not drawn lines like "Because of this... Japanese society is like this... etc." I want everyone to have fun listening. And have fun coming in to talk and exchange ideas politely.
