Wari area of old Dhaka. This is where the 400-year-old Christian cemetery is located. The main gate of the cemetery is next to the roundabout in front of Wari Police Station. It is believed that this cemetery was established around 1600. Although the construction date of the cemetery gate is estimated to be 1824, no documentary evidence is available to support this. However, a photo of the gate taken in 1870 is available on the website of the British Library, the richest collection of old photographs of Dhaka. This proves that this gate was built at least before 1870. On the right side of the gate is the tomb of the most aesthetically pleasing architecture.
