The White Carpathians are a relatively less visited border mountain range. They are located on the Czech-Slovak border and their highest parts climb to almost 1,000 meters above sea level. While the climate is warmer in the foothills, spring arrives only slowly in the highest parts of the mountains. We went on a week-long crossing of the White Carpathians in May, and it was clear that the snow had only recently come down from the ridge.
