The Monorail project in São Paulo, which was supposed to transport fans during the 2014 World Cup, remains unfinished. Some stations are so abandoned that they have become rubble dumps. When it was launched in 2012, during the Geraldo Alckmin, PSDB government, the Line 17 project included 19 stations. The cost was estimated at R$3 billion. But the reality is quite different.
