About :

Historian Mădălin Hodor talks about: Ceaușescu's money, "Swiss accounts", Relations with Romania's neighbors during Communism, Revolution, What did the Securitate during the Revolution, The power that the Securitate had during Communism and after and other exciting topics , which we invite you to discover in the newest edition of the podcast "In the mind of Tetelu". Mădălin Hodor, graduate of the Faculty of History of "Al.I.Cuza University", Iasi, (1999), in-depth studies with specialization in universal medieval history (1999-2000). Socrates scholarship at the "Faculty of History of Angers University" (1999-2000). Since 2000, employee of the National Council for the Study of the Security Archive, Bucharest. In 2018, he held credentials as a researcher for the works: "Security Cadres, 1948-1989", "The History of Romanian Espionage from the Second World War to the Revolution of December 1989" and "The Romanian Revolution of December 1989". It revealed unprecedented truths from communism and, in particular, from the period of the Ceausist dictatorship. In recent years he has focused on the scientific research of the social and economic context that generated the Revolution of 1989, succeeding in deconstructing myths and conspiracy theories. He documented the recruitment of Victor Atanasie Stănculescu in 1952, in the Securitate, based on the recommendation of Vasile Milea, both important soldiers in the repression in Timișoara and Bucharest. He revealed the mechanisms that generated panic and the dispersal of demonstrators from the rally organized by Nicolae Ceaușescu on December 21, 1989, in Piața Palatului. It uncovered notorious collaborators of the communist political police, secret actions of the Security, revealing new facets of the activity of former Security workers, former nomenclaturists or soldiers from the communist period and their ways of survival and development in networks of interests, after the fall of the regime communist. Mădălin Hodor brought back to public attention the documents of the armed robbery launched by the communists on a national scale by confiscating the assets of the "enemies of the people". He documented the fate of the money made from the external transactions of Ceaușescu's mafia regime, money which, having come into the possession of some current personalities, continues to produce corruption, in a real "war for the capture of the State". He publicly noted the dangers hidden in disinformation campaigns, carried out including through the scientific research of some colleagues from the CNSAS Research Directorate, which creates a false distinction between "bad" Security and another described as "good". He publicly drew attention to the risks regarding the approval of Cazimir Ionescu as a member of the CNSAS College by Parliament, in 2018, as he was sent to court in 2017 for crimes against humanity in the "Mineriada" file 1990. In 2018, after publishing a list of well-known intellectuals who collaborated in May 1985 with a unit of the Security that followed Romanian emigration, was sanctioned by CNSAS with the withholding of salary rights and his credentials were cancelled. Later, he was harassed in court by the CNSAS College. In 2020, the court reasoned the decision in his favor, referring to the defense of freedom of expression and his protection as an "integrity whistleblower", a statute applicable to staff in public institutions who report irregularities or illegalities. Mădălin Hodor campaigns for the merger and making available to researchers of the archives of the Security by a single institution, the archives being currently fragmented between the SRI, SIE, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of National Defense and the National Archives and for free access to them. He believes that, in this way, it could be better proven, among other things, how the Security functioned in communism in close connection with both the Army, the Prosecutor's Office and the Justice. On December 21, 2019, he addressed to the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, together with several intellectuals and activists, an open letter requesting support for the reparation of historical injustices on the victims of the Revolution, by "hiding the guilt of the Security for the crimes committed, both before December 22 , as well as after the dictator's flight". #podcast #happyfish #lamintealuitetelu #tetelu Follow us on the web: Madalin: / madalin.hodor.1 Instagram: / happyfishtelevizione Facebook: / happyfish.ro Site: http://www.happyfish.ro/ Channel clips: / @happyfishclips5503 Tetelu: / sacrosanctul.cutout (C) & (P) HappyFishTV All rights reserved.
