The history of the White Desná dam disaster in the Czech Jizera Mountains. Less than 4 km from the Polish border is the place where one of the most tragic events in the history of the Sudetes took place. As a result of the dam bursting and flooding the town of Desná, a total of 65 people died, dozens of houses were damaged, and hundreds of residents of Desná were left homeless.
