It is common knowledge that we are not always able to persevere in our resolutions, and our enthusiasm for change sometimes fades quite quickly. So how can we achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams? What can we do to feel more satisfaction from life, to enjoy a better mood that comes with fulfilling our desires? During the lecture, the audience learned how to use our imaginations in the process of setting and achieving goals. Does positive thinking always help in fulfilling dreams? Will imagining a positive outcome make it happen? How can you use your imagination to make it easier to realize your desires and resolutions? Dr. Ewa Jarczewska-Gerc answered the above and other questions regarding the possibilities of using imagination training in practice. About the speaker: Dr. Ewa Jarczewska Gerc - deals with the psychology of motivation, effectiveness and persistence in action, and mental simulations. She is interested in the relationships between different forms of thinking and imagining and effectiveness and persistence in action, as well as stress and its correlates. At SWPS University, she runs a master's seminar and classes in the field of psychology of emotions and motivation, psychology of individual differences, and psychological interviewing. In the work of an academic lecturer, she values ​​the most the opportunity to transfer knowledge, which is an important factor in better understanding the world.
