The top MISTAKES you make when measuring voltage. EXPLAIN THE CARDIOLOGIST. The information program is mainly carried out online, and the campaign relies on deep FAMILY ties through which young people between the ages of 25-40 are invited to talk to their parents about the risks of this condition, to encourage them to go to the doctor and to measure their blood pressure. Do you remember what Dr. Anamaria Balahura, a cardiologist at the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital, told us in the other video where we talked about hypertension? He told us that if we were diagnosed with hypertension and started the recommended treatment, for two weeks we would have to measure our blood pressure daily, twice in the morning and twice in the evening, and write down all these values in a diary. And if we are chronically hypertensive, at least once a week. And it's not for nothing that the doctor tells us to do this. (Everybody knows that they, the doctors, are also sick and tired of red tape.) In the first case, he has us measure it and keep that diary because it will help him to adjust our treatment so that it brings the tension to its intended target. In the second situation, through our weekly measurement it will be followed whether the tension goes crazy and goes out of the interval in which we were advised to stop it, in which case changes in the treatment plan will be necessary. Needless to say, it's obvious that you need to have a voltage meter at home. You have seen in the family doctor's or cardiologist's office that a classic blood pressure monitor is used, with a cuff, which uses a stethoscope. The one for us laymen to use at home is not good. I mean, he's good, but it's complicated for us, we can make mistakes and the voltage value may not be the real one. I tried once too, but my ear be damned if it heard the knock. If it's not loud like the Opera gong, what is?! The tensiometer is correct and safe to buy from the pharmacy. There is no need to get the most expensive one, the important thing is that it is a validated device. You will have to choose from the three available cuff sizes. Automatic blood pressure monitors can have longer or shorter cuffs to fit your arm. It is ideal to measure the circumference of your arm at home and based on the result of the measurement the pharmacist will help you choose the right one for you: small, medium or large. This is a really important point, because if you use the wrong cuff you can measure your blood pressure incorrectly, have lower or higher values than the real ones, and this can mislead the doctor in determining the correct blood pressure and target achieved with antihypertensive treatment. You will also observe all these things, at home, when you measure your own blood pressure. If you are in that two-week monitoring period, it is good that you measure it once in the morning and in the evening, then stay in the same position for 5 minutes and measure again. And you note, obviously. For the doctor, an average blood pressure is even more useful, and if he has two values in the morning and two in the evening, he will know exactly how to adjust your treatment to have good blood pressure control. --- Facebook: / pacientul20 Instagram: / pacientul2.0 TikTok: / _pacientul2.0 EHealthRomania: https://ehealthromania.com/ Welcome to the Pacientul2.0 channel!
