Pediatric palliative care is the care given to children with advanced chronic processes and their families, where the latter take on special relevance due to the impact of the disease on the child's entire environment and the difficulty that decision-making sometimes entails. Children who are born with an incurable disease or develop it throughout their childhood require this care and it always involves a great challenge. This orientation involves care aimed at promoting comfort, enjoyment of time and all those aspects that improve their quality of life until the end. This process continues after the death of the child with attention to the family's grief. The webinar on Paediatric Palliative Care brings us closer to this type of care, from the hand of professionals who work in this field and that will allow us to see first-hand how they take on the challenge of caring for children with advanced chronic processes and their families. Organised by AECPAL Speakers: Esther Benito Russo Paediatric nurse Expert in nutrition and children's feeding from the UIB Since 2016, nurse in the paediatric palliative care unit of the "Illes Balears" Irene Martín Romero Nurse specialising in paediatrics, Niño Jesús Children's Hospital in Madrid. Official Master's Degree in Paediatric Palliative Care from UNIR. Nursing assistant at the Paediatric Comprehensive Palliative Care Unit at the Niño Jesús Children's Hospital in Madrid Alba Pascual Sanmamed Diploma in Social Work, Master's Degree in early care and family and Postgraduate Degree in Forensic Social Work. Currently Social Worker in the Palliative Care and Complex Chronic Patient Service (C2P2) and in the abuse unit at the Sant Joan de Déu Pediatric Hospital in Barcelona.
