This recipe is a Christmas classic but goes well with any celebration. For example, I've used this cake to celebrate birthdays here at home a few times. The dough is super light and tasty and goes well with all types of egg-based fillings. Here I'm using a very simple one made with condensed milk and egg yolks, but you can use pastry cream or baba de moça.
