President Pasqual Maragall is the host of this documentary about the figure of King Jaume I, the conqueror of Mallorca and Valencia, and the king most admired by Catalans. Maragall visited the most emblematic places in the king's life and was accompanied by some of the main specialists on Jaume I. The documentary travels, led by the president, from the Montsó castle where Jaume I was raised to the Poblet monastery -where he is buried-, passing through Mallorca, Valencia and Barcelona. Maragall interviews historians, museum curators, and even the president of the Consell de Mallorca or the abbot of Poblet. In addition, several moments in the life of Jaume I have been recreated expressly for the documentary.
