In February 2003, Monique Lejeune's body was found in her garden. She had been stabbed 58 times. Very quickly, suspicions fell on her husband's ex-wife: Béatrice Matis. The latter admitted to having visited the victim on the evening of the events, her DNA was found, and she even confessed everything to the police, before retracting. In 2010, during the first hearing, all these elements that accuse her were swept aside by her lawyer, Maître Éric Dupond-Moretti. Verdict: Béatrice Matis was acquitted. But the prosecution appealed. In January 2012, a new trial was held at the Douai assizes, and this time, it did not go at all like the first. The voice of the crime in this episode is Luc Frémiot, the attorney general of this appeal trial. He tells how he would turn the case around. One Wednesday a month in Les voix du crime, we bring you new accounts of justice and today's criminal cases. https://www.rtl.fr/actu/justice-faits...
