From isolated PRIBELJE on VITOROG Tour of TITA's secret JNA facilities - VELIKI VITOROG (1906 m/sl) We have been to Vitorog before. We decided to return to this interesting mountain, but this time from the other side of the mountain along the path from the idyllic village of Glamočki Pribelje. Arriving in the area of the village of Pribelje itself is an adventure because the village is completely isolated at 1400 m/sl and you have to drive about twenty kilometers on very bad macadam to get to it. Once a very powerful and large village with a school and other public facilities, today it has fallen to only a few herdsmen who work and live there. We had the idea to find or shorten the path with tractor trains through the forest area of Gorica and thus avoid the boredom of the macadam track, but unfortunately we did not find the right one... In the end, we give up on this idea, this area is mined and we did not want to risk it, we return to the macadam track road and continue along it all the way to the top. As we get closer to the top, we can see some of the military facilities built by the former JNA for their own purposes. During Yugoslavia, access to these underground and above-ground facilities, as well as the top itself, was strictly prohibited. Today, all buildings are completely devastated and looted. At the very top, Veliki Vitorog, which is 1,906 m high, we stay for a short time because of the strong wind. We take the opportunity to visit the JNA underground and above-ground military facilities and descend back to the car... VITOROG / VITOROGA Vitorog is a mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the highest peak of 1906 m above sea level. It is located on the three borders of the municipalities of Glamoč, Kupres and Šipovo and represents one of the border points between the Bosnia and Herzegovina geographical regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inside the mountain is the Vagan cave. The highest peaks are: Veliki Vitorog (1906 m), Osredak (1804 m), Mali Vitorog (1744 m), Velika kosa (1706 m), Ravni kuk (1588 m)...
