In every city in Japan, there is usually a local market. These markets are owned by locals, local vendors, and local customers. But there are days when the market is so quiet that it seems like it will have to close down, but the people in the city do not give up. They try everything to make the market lively again. By volunteering with the people in the community, bringing in new generation vendors to open unique shops, they have gained more customers from different groups. Osu Market is not just a place to sell products, but also a source of pride for the locals who come to support each other, to the point that they can easily compete with department stores.
